Happy Birthday Carson!

May 30th 2005 was a wonderful day.  Our son was born (a week late thank you very much)!  We were so excited to welcome a son and brother to our family.  He has brought us so much joy these last 5 years and we look forward to all the happiness he will continue to bring our family as he grows.  We love you Car-boy!

Springtime with the Coria Family

It’s been way too long since I have posted the Coria family comings and goings.  Marc has been on my case so here is a quick recap…

1.  Carson singing his heart out at his Apples to Zebras program a few months ago, then him with his buddies. Mmmmmmmm,  OREO’S!

Yes, he showed that much intensity during all of his songs.

2.  Marc and I were directors for a play at our Stake Youth Conference Play in a Day.  Jungle Book all the way Baby!  I can’t believe that we didn’t have anyone take a picture of us in our beautiful shirts Lucinda made.

We had a great group of kids and a great group of leaders that put a lot of work in to make our play a success.

3.  Sophia being naughy and playing in the muddy sandbox after several days of rain.  If you look close enough you will see mud splattered all over her.

4.  Playtime at the park.

5.  The Beach in Sunny Southern California!  This was supposed to be our opportunity for the perfect family picture.  Marc had recently got his braces off and we had not had a picture taken since Sophia was 2 months old.  I had planned, prepared, shopped, etc. in preperation for this picture.  Wouldn’t you  know it, Carson was taken down by a wave before we had a chance to take the shot.  Oh well, wasn’t as bad as what was to come (see number 8).  The weather was gorgeous (this is California we are talking about), and the beach, beautiful as always… one of my favorite places.

6. Disneyland & California Adventure!!!  We were able to have a wonderful vacation with Marc’s family celbrating his mom’s birthday.  It was absolutely wonderful!  We all can’t wait to go back again.

7.  Visiting with our friends the Hird family.  We were so happy to see our friends and their new beautiful home in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA.  We miss you guys!

8.  New transmission for our van.  I will not post a picture of this because I am still bitter and still paying it off.  I was without a vehicle over spring break for more than a week.  Let’s never speak of this again.

9.  More park time with friends.

10. Easter time!! We dyed eggs, had an egg hunt with cousins, and of course, a visit from the Easter Bunny!  (Carson had to dye all of his eggs blue because you know as he says:  “blue is my whole life”).

11.  More park.  What can I say, Springtime in AZ is fantastic!

12.  Uncle Ryan’s 30th Birthday Party.  There was plenty of talent shared (if that’s what you call it).

13.  Kite Flying.  We had a crazy windy evening a few weeks ago.  We thought it was the perfect excuse to dust off our kites.

14.  Our Stake Fair.  Complete with booth games and snow cone stained faces.

15.  Mother’s Day

So in summary, I guess that was not a “quick” recap, but it is done now nonetheless.

Will You Survive?

A coworker mentioned something about this series on the History Channel and he asked that I download them for him for a presentation at work. Since this scenario could be part of my work I thought it would be interesting to see if any of you have an opinion about it or have seen any of these shorts (Also, since Ginger has stopped blogging altogether). The first part is here and it may link to the rest.  If not, it is on YouTube.

Step In Time!!!

My wonderful brother Daniel decided to be extremely generous and take a good portion of the family to see Mary Poppins at Gammage.  Audrey, Grace, and I were able to go and loved every second of it!  My daughters have never been able to experience a broadway show before so this was extra special for them.  I was very proud of their theater etiquette.  The whole show was really great with wonderful set changes lights, and of course a flying nanny, but as a tap dancer myself, I must say that “Step In Time” was my absolute FAVORITE!!!  Thank you Daniel for a night to remember.  We love you!

Is there a difference?

March of 2007Today

I had a mouth full of metal for almost 3 years and I hope there is a difference…or that was a waste of time and money.
