Yes, I am alive (Barely)

Well, I knew it had been a while since I had posted last, but when I actually looked, I realized that it is approaching 3 months since I last visited the keyboard to post some info. about our family.? We (meaning Marc) have been busy?finishing our? yard project which was completed the night before we left for our summer vacation. WooHoo!!! I will post pictures of the finished product if not on this post, then on another one since I have not taken any pictures yet.? We (meaning Ginger) were also busy with the end of the school year functions and preparing for our Colorado trip which we left for the day after school got out.? We went to Littleton, Co. to visit Marc’s sister Veronica and her family.? Our kids had a great time as did Marc and I visiting with Aaron, Veronica, and little Carmen.?

Our trip started with a stop at 4 corners.? It was very windy but a fun stop that has to be done at least once.? None of us had ever been there.? When we were leaving, Gracie was a bit disappointed and kept saying “I thought we were going to see the 4 states”.? The more we tried to explain, the ornery she became, so Gracie just left it at “You just don’t understand”.? That’s right Grace, we don’t.

We stopped in Durango and stayed the night on the way up.? The next day the drive was beautiful, we were up high in the mountains and there was still plenty of snow and fabulous waterfalls to look at.?

?

?The kids loved it!? We were also able to see Marc’s old mission buddy Jason Kelly and his family.? Once we arrived in Littleton, we were grateful the 2 day journey had come to an end.? We celebrated Carson’s 3rd birthday Thomas the Tank Engine style (of course).? A huge thank you to Uncle Aaron for making and decorating the birthday cake YUMMY!!? We spent a day at the Denver museum of Nature and Science.? We enjoyed the IMAX and Planetarium as well as the many exhibits.? We also played at a splash park, visited the outdoor downtown 16th street mall and enjoyed a lunch at Johnny Rockets.? Other fun things we did on our trip was go to the movies, see dinosaur tracks and played at the park.? We also were able to score big at the Children’s Place outlet at the Castle Rock mall in CO.??We?got just about all of the girl’s back to school shopping done.? YAY!! If you don’t know this about me, I really can’t stand shopping, so doing it out of town in great weather with a sister in law?was much better than?dragging the kids from store to store in Arizona July being 8?and a?half months?pregnant.?

Overall,?it was great enjoying the fantastic weather and family.? We invested in a webcam for us and the Birch family so the kids can talk to and see Carmen whenever they want to.? We have enjoyed that since we have been home.

Since the trip, we have settled nicely into our summer routine.? Swim lessons, library day, movie day, piano lessons, chores, and we have visited the AZ science center as we bought a year membership.? It will be a lot of fun to visit the museum frequently over the next year.

On to other business, if you are not tired of reading this.? The count down is officially on.? 7 weeks and 6 days until the due date of our nameless baby girl.? I am trying to survive the AZ summer heat by participating in air conditioned activities and a dark house in the the hot afternoons.? I think we’re going to make it.

Yes, I am alive, barely, and happy to be back on the blog.? Please note that Audrey did not approve of this?posts title, but I am the Mom, so I win. ?Hah!!
